Boston Park Plaza Wedding Photos: Kayla & Steve

Kayla & Steve's wedding at the Boston Park Plaza was so much fun to photograph! I started my day with Kayla and the girls in the presidential suite. One of my favorite moments was Kayla's sweet friend coming and holding her hand during makeup. The first look with the bridesmaids was pretty great too! I love their expressions. You'll have to watch the slideshow (at the bottom) to see Kayla's first look with her dad, and Billy's wonderful photos of the guys hanging out.

Once Kayla was all ready, we had to make our way through the lobby - but of course it was filled with guests who were excited to get a sneak peek of the bride! What to do? Someone had the genius idea of shielding Kayla from view with an umbrella, and I absolutely loved this! Kayla's mom Kathleen was on lookout duty, and I absolutely love the photos of this unique moment.

The ceremony was at beautiful Old South Church. With no first look, it's extra important to photograph the groom's reaction at the front of the church, and both Billy and I got great photos of Steve. I love that Kayla chose to walk with both of her parents; they are such a close family and it's little things like this that really show that.

After the ceremony it was still drizzling, so Steve & Kayla opted to take their couples' portraits inside at the Park Plaza. There are so many gorgeous spots there to choose from, and I especially love the wall of faces outside one of the elevators, and of course the first dance preview in the gorgeous ballroom (I always love to get a quick photo of the couple in their reception space before guests enter if we have time).

The reception was so much fun! Kayla & Steve had an epic entrance and first dance with sparkler fountains, there were three lovely toasts by the two dads and Kayla's sister & MOH Taylor, and the party was amazing. Kayla & her dad absolutely crushed the father-daughter dance (so fun) and there were some really fun moments, including my first bouquet toss in years ... what a perfect spot for it, up on the balcony!

Thank you Kayla & Steve for trusting me to document your amazing celebration at the Park Plaza Boston, we hope you love the photos!
