Cliff House Maine Wedding Photos
Mary & Marc's perfect Cliff House Maine wedding over Memorial Day weekend was an absolute joy - especially after the two years of waiting they'd endured through Covid-19. I was so thrilled to be a part of this incredible celebration!
This lovely couple actually got married in a very intimate family ceremony much earlier in the pandemic, so it meant they felt able to be a little more playful with their formal wedding plans. One of my very favorite things that they did was to have the best man and maid of honor toasts as part of the ceremony instead during dinner as is more traditional. What a wonderful surprise for their guests!
Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine is a wedding venue I've been dying to photograph for many, many years. It is famous for the stunning cliffs that it is built atop, and it's an absolutely amazing spot for portraits - especially when the sun goes down and the area is bathed in soft, magical light. I was so glad that Mary & Marc, and their planner Kara, had built in time for us to take some portraits there at the perfect time of night, right before sunset. It was truly magical.
Some of the other little touches and moments I loved were the envelope liner map in their invitation suite, showing the spot where Marc and Mary got engaged; the compasses they gave as gifts to their guests (really, such a unique and beautiful favor!); the dessert bar which included the most incredible sweet treat I've ever had at a wedding (I'm sorry M&M, but I cannot resist anything carrot cake and that whoopee pie was BEYOND!!); and the absolutely stunning floral arch by York Flower Shop. Shoutouts too, to Kara Patten who was a dream planner to work with, Cliff House Maine for being such a beautiful venue, and so kind, and band Splash! who I hadn't worked with in a few years - it was so fantastic getting to see you guys again. The dance floor rocked! Thank you to everyone who made this day a dream come true for Mary and Marc; they SO deserved it.
