Mountain Top Inn Wedding Photos: Meredith & Cameron

This was my fourth time documenting a Mountain Top Inn wedding, and what an amazingly perfect day, despite the spring showers (I've photographed a wedding here in each season now, and every single time I've had exactly what you hope *not* to get in terms of weather - cloudy gray skies in the fall, a summer storm, the coldest day of the season at my winter wedding) and yet each time the weather has become a beautiful and magical part of the day anyway.

Meredith and Cameron originally reached out to me in 2020 as they began to plan a summer 2021 wedding in Boston. As many couple have experienced, COVID-19 thwarted their original plans ... and then their backup plans ... but they turned lemons into lemonade with a more intimate New England destination wedding in beautiful Vermont this May. I was absolutely thrilled to be able to work with them; I had photographed Meredith's sister Lily's wedding a few years ago, and had fallen for this smart, ridiculously kind couple at their wedding, and again at another friend's wedding. They are two of the sweetest people you could hope to meet, and I knew their wedding day, no matter what form it took, would be packed with emotion and stories, all the things I most love to document.

One of the biggest emotional stories of the day was the fact that both Cameron and Meredith had lost a parent far too young; Cameron his father, and Meredith her mom. During the getting ready time, Cameron read a letter that his father had written for him to read on his wedding day, many many years ago. What an amazing gift! Meredith and her sister celebrated their mom with the help of a very close family friend, who gave a wonderful toast filled with hilarious and touching stories, right after Meredith had dressed. These were, of course, two of my favorite moments of the day. They also honored their parents by placing roses on specially reserved seats during the ceremony.

Some other highlights for me were meeting Buford, their 11 year old Lemon Beagle (such a sweetie!) and the wedding party photos at Mountain Aire house in the rain (I actually really love rain for photos!) Plus the rainbow that came out immediately after the ceremony, the amazing wildlife on site, and our impromptu portrait session at the lake after the rain had stopped. I also have to give a shoutout to Cameron & Meredith on their spectacular first dance, and to everyone for making the sparkler exit so easy and fun to photograph.

Thank you both for trusting me to document this magical weekend for you; I hope you enjoy these teaser photos! And if you found this post while searching for "Mountain Top Inn wedding photos", please know that we would love to return, in any season, to document more weddings at this beautiful venue.
